Many people had swimming lessons on a saturday when they were young, not me, I had piano lessons. Most of my mates went to chinese school ever since they were 5 and continued on till A level, not me, I went twice and quitted both times. Now I am sitting on my bed regretting not doing those things.
Lets start of with swimming. Well I ain't saying I never had lessons, I did have like maybe 5 lessons when I was in year 6 and I did have a few lessons through out year 7. But the thing is, I never actually bothered to learn swimming properly. In year 6 I was forced to wear arm bands. Yeah they don't work, the only thing they do to you is give an excuse to your mates to laugh at you :(. Secondly through out my lessons in year 7, I actually hated swimming and I pretended I could swim. When a teacher tells me to swim a width of the swimming pool and when he isn't looking, I quickly walk it to make it seem like I could actually swim xP. Anyway it all changed in the year 2010. I went swimming with someone and that person taught me how to swim in 30 mins, It isn't that hard if you actually listen to your teacher or friend and if you actually try and learn to swim. YOU WILL ACTUALLY SWIM! xD. After 16 years of embarrassing myself by not being able to swim, I can actually officially say I can swim now ^^... well only front crawl, I failed at the back stroke, and breast stroke. Lol.. butterfly looks gay.
With chinese school, I actually couldn't bother with because I found learning chinese was hard. The characters look like fricken pictures you see in a children's book or something. Also on a Saturday, I had chinese school, piano lesson and tutors all on the same day and that was proper stressful and tiring, so I couldn't really focus on chinese. But anyway, I started to have an interest in the chinese language two years ago. I can't really read chinese, but I can speak it much more better now cause I ask for help xP, I can read some characters xD, and my listening skills for chinese is actually alright xP. Anyway, even though most of my mates have qualifications for chinese at GCSE or A level, it doesn't mean it is too late for me, that is why I am learning chinese at university and hopefully after 4 years of hard work, I will whoop those bitches asses at chinese ^^.
